A boutique style restaurant, open Tuesday to Sunday, 11am-2:00pm/ 5:00pm-8:00pmVery clean, fresh, great service. I would recommend the California Mango roll made of brown rice. Best Tuna tataki in town.

Affordable sushi nook at the end of No#2 Road (towards the river.) The food is always fresh + smiles are free. It's my new little "gee I'm feeling a bit peckish & poor today...go to spot." Oishi!

This Japanese restaurant is always the best in Richmond! No kidding here! It beats all other Japanese restaurants in the city. It is just far away from anywhere. I was happened in the neighbourhood doing stuff, so my boyfriend and I dropped by and had lunch here. Man! Their sashimi was fresh. Sushi had the right amount of rice. Ramen tasted about right. Customer service was excellent. I really had no complaints about anything about this Japanese restaurant. If you happen to be in this neighbourhood or Steveston in Richmond, you need to drop by this restaurant and try their Japanese food. There is always take out and customers dining in. The restaurant is always busy. I came here in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Their quality always remains well. I wish other Japanese restaurants in Great Vancouver would be like this one. :)

Quaint little sushi place with amazing food! The rolls had a great ratio of rice to filling, the tamago was handmade... Everything was delicious and fresh. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed every minute of my dinner there!

We live in the neighbourhood, and Village Sushi has been our go-to sushi bar for over seven years. The chefs, Taka and Mari, are always nice, and their food tastes very authentic to what you can find in Japan. This cozy mom-and-pop restaurant is a must-visit.

Just off Steveston, this small hole in the wall Japanese restaurant seems to be run by a husband and wife team. A very small place, there only seems to be room for about 10 people to sit. Parking is also limited, so this place seems more geared toward local foot traffic or takeout. The hours are actually quite limited and they don't open Sunday and Monday, so make sure to check their operating hours before heading over to eat.Food prices are very reasonable and the sushi is quite good for the price. The sushi are well made and the proportions are decent sized.

The food was decent. With such a small and limited menu, I was really expecting amazing cuts of fish. Perhaps the day I went was an off day. The sashimi didn't taste particularly fresh.

Great little sushi place dishing up tasty and affordable rolls for Steveston locals. Better than average green tea served in-house if you decide to eat in, however limited seating might dictate whether you order in or takeout. I tried their dynamite roll, spicy tuna and deluxe futomaki with BBQ eel - all were delicious! I think this is a family-run business, it has a low-key, comfortable sort of feel to it. This place could easily become a weekly takeout habit👍

As you can see the pic, the rice is no enough. Although the price is cheap, you don’t get the equivalent value.

Fresh fish and seafood is a given for any five star rating, but the difference is in their rice; cooked, seasoned, and rolled to perfection... as well as the amount of rice (not too much), as opposed to some other negative reviews they are getting because of it. Too much rice is a sign of a cheap sushi place; this place does it right every time I've visited.

The rolls and sashimi salad is delicious! Their dynamite roll uses freshly deep fried prawn tempura so it's still warm and super crispy! Price is very reasonable as well. Only down side is probably the wait to get a table and the wait to get your food as it's a small store with only a few staff.

I've been coming here for years. It's always the best, every time. I've eaten in a lot of sushi restaurants in greater Vancouver and throughout the world including Japan and this one is one of my all time favorites. Will be back many more times

Quite good. The sushi was fresh and the service was excellent. I think the rice needs a bit more vinegar but it could be just me as I've not been able to taste any of the acidity in sushi rice over the last two weeks in various sushi places. Overall, a wonderful sushi restaurant.
